That the Bible is God inspired. Furthermore that the Bible is the only reliable source for sound doctrine.
Statement of Faith
There is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) . He is the creator of heaven and earth and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father, in the son, and through the Holy Spirit.
This core belief in One God is the same teaching that the Old Testament prophets taught (Isaiah 9:6) and the apostles preserved throughout New Testament Scriptures. In present day this apostolic belief is known as the Oneness doctrine.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, giving a true history of the creation of heaven, earth, and humanity and containing a correct prophecy of the ages to come regarding heaven, earth, and the destiny of humanity. Moreover, there is no salvation outside of what is taught in its pages.
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called ‘sin’. This attitude separates people from God and is the root cause of all suffering and heartache.
The New Testament experience of salvation is received by grace through faith. As the author of salvation, Jesus made it clear that to enter the Kingdom of God a person needed to be born again. After preaching the good news concerning Jesus, Peter was asked by those who heard him,
“what should we do?” (Acts 2:37) Peter answered them with the clear application of their faith: Repent, be baptized in Jesus name for the remission of sins and they would receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Hebrews 5:9, John 3:3-5, Matthew 16:19, Acts 2:38.)
